The French government’s move to reform the workings of major French 'ports autonomes' have been hampered by refusal from leftist union CGT to take part in local talks over reform, say industry figures in Marseilles. Meanwhile Transport union rejection of a move to cut back on special pension benefits for public sector workers, including transport and energy companies, has also affected moves to introduce port reform.
