Owners to sue over Oslo tax demand

Several Norwegian shipping companies are planning a lawsuit against the government over the scrapping of tonnage tax. Oslo is determined to collect up to NK21Bn ($3.6Bn) in tax on reserves that companies had built up during the 11-years operation of the tonnage tax, which was scrapped on Friday.
