We have often championed the proposed barge terminal for Bridgeport that would allow trailers to be brought into the area by water, thus taking them off the Lodge Turnpike (I-95). There is state money to build the terminal, which will also provide jobs in distressed Bridgeport. The trucks would be unloaded close to I-95, with easy connections to I-91 and routes 25 and 8.
