CalMac rival calls for 'open seas'

Western Ferries’ managing director Gordon Ross has called on the governing Scottish Executive to introduce an "open seas" policy for the 25 subsidised western Scotland and Hebridean routes operated by CalMac. These routes have been out to tender and CalMac is the sole remaining bidder, following the withdrawal of V.Ships and Western Ferries.
