It is my assertion that there is more benefit to the public streamlining and improving the current integrated BC Ferry Service (BCFS) than breaking it up into individual routes operated by private companies.
I think that Powell River is receiving attention because the community has been vocal. In presenting potential options, I believe that BCFS wants the community to feel that it is being listened to.
