Two new services, one ferry and one LoLo freight, have been launched to serve the Russian Baltic market. The direct RoRo ferry link is between the Germany port of Sassnitz and Baltiysk in the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad according to a DPA report. The operator, Railion, is using the RoRo vessel Vilnius to move rail freight wagons between the two ports. This service was originally due to start last December but was delayed by Russian red tape.
