Acciona, the parent company of shipowner Acciona Trasmediterránea, is to launch the first intermodal transport service between Europe and Morocco in December. The new service involves a new rail link between Algeciras to Barcelona. The new service allows perishable products to be transported from Agadir to Tangiers in Morocco by road, from Tangiers to Algeciras by ferry and from Algeciras to Barcelona by rail.
