Swansea-Cork ferry faces more delay

Plans to restart the Swansea-Cork ferry route this year are now in doubt because the relevant vessel is not yet available. A consortium of Irish business interests was close to completing negotiations to buy Color Line’s Christian IV ferry to use on the route. However, Aker has been delayed in supplying a newbuilding to Color Line, so it needs to keep the Christian IV longer than expected to operate the Larvik-Hirtshals route.
