Port authority personnel at the French port of Marseilles are to stage a new 24-hour strike on Friday and have given notice of further action to come next week as they continue to protest at the French government’s port reform plans.
The new action comes despite a court decision last week which found that a series of four-hour stoppages staged by port personnel was illegal.
