P&O is increasing its presence on the Thames. The company has chartered the Hoburgen, which joins the 1,300 lanemetre Calibur on the Zeebrugge-Tilbury route.
Started in mid-July in the aftermath of the Ferryways collapse, the service is dedicated to freight.
The 1,750 lanemetre Hoburgen, a descendant of the famous Bazias-class, will be introduced on 17 September, doubling the sailing frequency to two daily departures in both directions.
