NOx tax kills off Bergen ferry

Port of Bergen has blamed Norway’s unique NOx tax for playing a significant part in the decision by Color Line to close its Bergen-Stavanger-Hirtshals service. The company announced the closure of the service earlier this month because of the tax, rising bunkering costs and interruptions to services because of bad weather.
