Plans for a new ferry link between the Shetland Islands and Kristandsand in Norway have been changed from a passenger and freight link to just freight. The ‘Norshukon Link’ partners (Møregruppen, Shetland Development Trust and ZetTrans), changed their minds after seeing the detailed bids from five potential operators seeing the true cost of charter rates and rising fuel prices.
