Motorway closes; sea motorway steps in

Ship operators are laying on extra tonnage to take advantage of a major motorway closure. The Italian government has decided to partially close the Salerno-Reggio Calabria A3 motorway during the day to carry out major upgrading works. The works, along some 50 km overall, will last about four years.
