Lines scramble for sea motorways

European owners Acciona Trasmediterranea, Brittany Ferries and CMA-CGM together with Grimaldi Louis Dreyfus Lines have submitted bids to a Franco-Spanish government transport commission to operate Atlantic sea motorways. At least four bids involving owners and ports were submitted to the transport commission by the 5 November deadline, the government sources in Paris and Madrid said.
