President Bashar Assad of Syria and President Abdullah Gul of Turkey have been implicated in the breaking of UN Security Council resolutions by setting up an illegal ferry operation between occupied Cyprus and Syria. A source at Akgunler Shipping has alleged that there was a secret deal between the government of the purported Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and Syria to set up the ferry line. Further investigations today have implied Turkish involvement.
