Georgia strikes off illegal ferries

Ferries illegally calling at the occupied port of Famagusta in Northern Cyprus have been deleted from the Georgian ship register, Fairplay has learned. It is unknown whether the ferries have re-registered elsewhere. The deletion from the Georgian ship register came following the intervention of the Cypriot Foreign Minister, Erato Kozakou-Marcoullis, according to maritime sources in Cyprus.
