Rikstrafiken, the Swedish government body in charge of subsidised public transport, has renewed the concession for ferry services between the island of Gotland and the mainland with Destination Gotland. The new concession will start in 2009 and run for five years and it means that Destination Gotland, the R/A Gotland business unit that operates the service, will now hold the concession for more than a decade running.
