TOTE christened the first of their two new Orca Class ships, the Midnight Sun, on August 3, 2002 at NASSCO in San Diego, California since when the vessel has been delivered. A sister vessel, North Star will follow.
The Orca Class vessels were efficiently designed to handle more freight while still maintaining the speed and quick port turnaround time of the current ships.
