Ferry director owes US$13,000 for state auto use

State Ferry Division Director Jerry Gaskill has a nearly $13,000 bill to pay taxpayers for using a state vehicle to drive from home to work, according to a state audit released Thursday.

The special investigative audit found that Gaskill and four other division officials used state vehicles to commute from home without getting proper authorization, which would require them to pay a commute fee based on mileage.
