French ferry operator SeaFrance has been hit by an officers' strike, which has led to the cancellation of 46 crossings in the English Channel. Five SeaFrance ferries were unable to make crossings yesterday as officers continued protest action over the company's refusal to increase wages and improve working conditions. Officers are angry about SeaFrance's move to oblige officers to work three days on five crossings.
