Genoa-based ferry operator Grandi Navi Veloci this week signed an agreement with Spanish truckers’ group Confederacion Espanola de Transporte de Mercancias that it hopes will entice more traffic to use its services in Spain.
The move continues a busy spring for a company that has been seen as one of the market’s weaker players, but which is now making strenuous efforts to improve its operating efficiency and cost structure under chief executive Silvano Cassano.
