Competition authorities have raided a number of classification societies throughout Europe as part of an investigation into possible collusion. A spokesman for the European Commission (EU) told Fairplay that the raids were conducted suddenly and simultaneously this morning by anti-trust inspectors from the EU's Competition Directorate across Europe.
