Brittany Ferries’ income up despite passenger dip

Brittany Ferries logoBrittany Ferries more than doubled net income in its financial year ended September 30 last year, as productivity gains and increased freight traffic compensated for a fall in passenger numbers, writes Andrew Spurrier.

The company, which is headquartered in Roscoff, Brittany, lifted consolidated net income from €17.4m ($27.1m) in 2005-2006 to €37m in 2006-2007, despite a modest 0.9% increase in turnover to €382.7m.
