Building a good reputation and loyal ridership for the city's high-speed ferry will take time. But city taxpayers are paying $32 million for the cross-lake catamaran. They have the right to expect openness concerning its progress.
That means Mayor William Johnson and the Rochester Ferry Co. should require their hired hand, Bay Ferries, to release the ferry's ridership numbers now, not in September, when the quarterly report is due.
Let Rochester city residents know how things are going with their ship
