Hawaii ferry fight moves to Capitol

A special session of the Hawaii Legislature is now the best and possibly only hope for the resumption of Hawaii Superferry service after Tuesday’s court defeat. Hawaii Governor Linda Lingle confirmed in a statement that she met the Senate president and House speaker yesterday to discuss the possibility of a special session “to amend the law to allow Hawaii Superferry to operate while the state conducts an environmental assessment”.
