A tender associated with the plan to develop a new Shetland Island-Norway ferry service has attracted four expressions of interest. The project, called NORSHUKON, involves using Motorways of the Sea money not only for the Shetland-Norway route but also to provide links to the UK mainland and also possibly mainland Europe. The EoI have been lodged with Moregruppen AS, Shetland Development Trust and ZetTrans (Shetland Transport Partnership), the deciding group for the new service.
