Crowded airports and increasing concerns for the environment are channelling passengers back to ferries, says French short haul operator Sea France. Bill Laidlaw, Sea France UK's sales director said the UK is becoming increasingly disillusioned about air travel due to delays, security alerts and environmental concerns, so people are turning to ferry travel. Families are also beginning to realise how much simpler a journey by ferry is when travelling with children, he commented.
