Sulpicio Lines has hired a salvage team to recover a container load of toxic cargo and resume the search for bodies. The Philippine Coast Guard said the operator of the sunken Princess of the Stars contracted Subsea Services, a Singapore-based firm comprising British and Filipino experts, to work on the recovery of 10 tonnes of hazardous pesticide Edosulfan stowed aboard the ferry.
