The decision on which salvage company will win the contract to remove the grounded RoRo vessel Riverdance will be made next week after 10 companies bid for the contract. The vessel grounded on a beach just north of Blackpool in January having been hit by a very large wave. Extensive efforts to salvage the ship were made but heavy weather caused it to list and eventually sink into the sand on the beach.
