Pentland Ferries' hopes of bringing new catamaran Pentalina into service on its route from Gills Bay, Caithness, to St.Margaret's Hope, Orkney, during July have been dashed by delays in the Philippines where the 350 passenger/58 car craft has been built by FBMA Marine at Cebu.
Pentalina is now expected to begin a 28 day delivery voyage to Scotland early next month before an operational debut during August.
