Old ferry to become old master

Tenders have been invited from a number of European shipyards to refurbish the secondhand ferry Jean Nicoli recently bought by SeaFrance for its Dover-Calais service. The company plans to have the ship in service from 1 July, so work must start in April and be completed by the end of June. It is estimated that the revamp will cost around €15M ($22M) and it involves passenger cabins being replaced by public areas.
