Flag failure stops N Cyprus ferries

 Ferry services between occupied Cyprus and Syria have been suspended because the two vessels on the route, Akgunler Shipping’s Akgunler 1 and SU, have been deleted from the Georgian register and are currently unflagged. The shipowner is now seeking to have the ferries re-flagged in Turkey, estimating that the process will take about 10 days. According to LR-Fairplay's Seaweb, the ships are classed by Turk Loydu.
