The RoRo ferry Celtic Star, a chartered vessel operating on the Dublin-Liverpool service of Seatruck Ferries, has resumed sailing following a period of detention. The Irish maritime authorities detained the ship to force payments of arrears due to nine members of the crew. The Greek-registered 11,086gt RoRo is owned by Jay Maritime of Piraeus. Seatruck paid arrears totalling €26,000 ($38,000) to nine Romanian crew members before Christmas and they returned home.
