Coastguard rescues drifting ferry

The coastal ferry San Jose de Tagbilaran was towed back to Cebu port yesterday after it lost power and drifted off Bagacay Point in the Philippines. The Philippine Coast Guard said the vessel, which was on a regular route to Ormoc with 80 passengers, suffered engine trouble and drifted for three hours before a tug arrived. All passengers were reported safe.
