BC Ferries new ship to begin operation BC Ferries’ newest vessel, Coastal Renaissance, will officially commence service today, March 8 as the regularly scheduled 3:00 p.m. sailing from Departure Bay to Horseshoe Bay.

Coastal Renaissance is the first of three new Coastal Class vessels. Coastal Inspiration, which is currently awaiting passage through the Panama Canal, will commence service on the Duke Point – Tsawwassen route before the summer.
