Aker Yards gains confidence with Eur 360m order

P&O group logoAker Yards has revealed a provisional €360m ($554m) contract for two newbuilds from P&O Ferries to be built at its facility in Rauma, Finland. 

A letter of intent has been signed between the two companies, with delivery scheduled for 2010 and 2011, and at 49,000 tonnes and 210m length, the two vessels will become some of the largest to operate in the English Channel.
