Thick fog that blanketed southern Chinese waters on Friday has been blamed by authorities for three ferry accidents near Macao that left hundreds of people injured. Two hydrofoils ferrying passengers between the Chinese territories of Hong Kong and Macao collided about five nautical miles off the former Portuguese enclave. More than 130 passengers were injured with 19 suffering severe injuries as they were thrown around the cabins of the two vessels.
