France is braced for the imminent blockade of the country’s entire port system.
The National Federation of Ports and Docks (FNPD) said today all ports would be blocked during June 17 and June 18, when France’s parliament is expected to discuss the government’s port reform project.
In a statement the FNPD accused the French government of trying to establish private sector monopolies in ports.
