Algerian terror spreads to ferries

 A bomb threat on Saturday night led to Algerian ferry Tariq ibn Ziyad turning back to Marseilles after departing the port with 1,400 passengers on board. News reports say that an anonymous caller phoned an Algerian consulate in France and said that there was a car-bomb on the 21,660gt ro-ro vessel. The ship returned to Marseilles, accompanied, Reuters says, by a fire boat, and the passengers were evacuated and the ship searched.
