2007 a successful year for the Port of Cork

The Port of Cork Company returned another impressive performance in 2007 with traffic reaching 10.6 million tonnes, the highest annual throughput in the history of the Port Company. This is the third year in a row that in excess of 10 million tonnes of cargo has been handled.  The port’s container traffic grew by 8% increasing from 185,000 TEU’s to a new record 200,000 TEU’s.
