The cost of building new ships will go up further with South Korea’s Dongkuk Steel announcing its third round of rate hikes for thick steel plate sold to shipyards. Prices will rise by W250,000 ($239) per ton from today, the steel maker has announced stating that the price has been hiked to W1.2M per tonne from 1.01M per ton.
