Aker YardsThree north European shipyards are the centre of an investment riddle involving Aker and a middle-ranking Russian aircraft leasing company. At first glance the Russian state-owned aircraft leasing company Financial Leasing Corp (FLC) is an unremarkable and apparently cash-poor organisation. But in a deal with Oslo-based Aker it has bought into Ukrainian and German shipyards through a Luxembourg-registered affiliate, paying €291.9M ($461.5M) in the process.
