Aker YardsThe French government’s announcement today that it will purchase a 9% stake in Aker Yards has allegedly stunned Aker Yard management in Oslo.

In a statement, France’s Prime Minster François Fillon said today that the French government had signed an “industrial partnership agreement” with STX, the Korean corporate-controller of Aker Yards over the sale of a 9% stake of the company.
