The new vice president of Gdansk shipyard says he is confident the ailing yard can reach a restructuring agreement with the European Commission within weeks. Speaking to Fairplay from his office in Gdansk, Ukranian Ihor Yatsenko said, "We expect the EU will agree to our view on meeting their requirements and our investment and production plans." These include investing 700M zlotys ($300M) in restructuring the yard through investment in steel and windmills.
