European shipbuilding leaders will discuss a response to South Korea’s STX’s recent acquisition of almost 40% of Aker Yards, at a meeting in Norway today, according to Fincantieri chairman Corrado Antonini, writes John McLaughlin.
Speaking at a meeting of the Italian maritime cluster in Rome which coincides with the European Maritime Day, Mr Antonini said the Italian state-owned shipbuilder had hoped that Brussels would block STX’s move on Aker.
