European shipbuilding leaders will discuss a possible response to STX’s recent acquisition of almost 40% of Aker Yards at a meeting in Norway tomorrow, according to Fincantieri chairman Corrado Antonini.
Speaking at a meeting of the Italian maritime cluster in Rome coinciding with the European day of the sea, Mr Antonini said the Italian state-owned shipbuilder had hoped that Brussels would block STX’s move on Aker.
