Market analysts in Italy have said that any deal arranged between the Italian state-owned shipyard Fincantieri and Aker Yards of Norway would draw opposition from the EU anti-trust regulators, according to a report on Thomson Financial. If the two merged, they would have a high market share in the cruise ship business, which might be deemed uncompetitive.
