Aker Yards is set to sell a 70% stake of three of the yards in its merchant vessel branch to Russian-owned investment company FLC West for $453M. Ownership of the company’s yards in Wismar and Warnemünde will be transferred to Aker Yards Ukraine Holding before the transaction is completed. Aker Yards will retain 30% of the new holding company.
